Al-Mustaqbal University, represented by its President, Professor Hassan Shaker Majdy, participated in the prominent global summit “AI for Good Global Summit”, held at Palexpo in Geneva, Switzerland. This participation comes within the framework of the university’s strategic vision aimed at leading digital transformation, integrating artificial intelligence technologies into academic and administrative structures, and contributing to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The summit, regarded as one of the world’s leading platforms for directing innovation toward tangible societal impact, brought together a wide range of international participants, including distinguished researchers, policymakers, innovators, and founders of emerging technology startups from across the globe. The opening-day sessions explored mechanisms for transforming academic and laboratory research into practical applications that serve public, commercial, and humanitarian sectors.
On the sidelines of the summit, Professor Hassan Shaker Majdy also followed the activities of the ITU Kaleidoscope Academic Conference, which this year focused on the theme “Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies for Good.” The conference expanded to cover topics such as quantum computing, brain–machine interfaces, and collaborative robotics. The summit also featured the launch of the new AI Playbook, a practical framework designed to help policymakers and academic institutions move technological projects from the proof-of-concept stage to large-scale real-world implementation.
Professor Hassan Shaker Majdy emphasized the importance of the contemporary directions highlighted by the summit, particularly in the areas of smart agricultural innovation, healthcare, and addressing climate challenges. He noted that Al-Mustaqbal University places high priority on building strong international partnerships and supporting responsible AI platforms and digital citizenship, in ways that contribute to the development of integrated educational curricula linking technical skills with critical awareness and the broader dimensions of sustainable development.
This international participation forms part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s ongoing pioneering efforts to strengthen its position as a central hub for research innovation, enhance its human capacities, and keep pace with the global digital revolution in a way that serves both the academic and developmental communities.
