The College of Science at Al-Mustaqbal University organized an awareness workshop entitled “Safe Handling of Expired Chemicals and Environmental Protection,” delivered by Dr. M.D. Karrar Majeed Obaid, Laboratory Quality Officer at the College of Science. The workshop addressed safe practices for handling expired chemicals, highlighting the importance of following approved safety procedures for their collection, sorting, storage, and disposal. These practices contribute to reducing potential risks, protecting individuals, and preserving the environment. The workshop also focused on raising awareness of proper and responsible chemical-handling practices, as well as compliance with approved environmental procedures and laboratory quality and safety standards. The workshop was attended by Programmer Amal Karim Razzaq, representing the Department of Cybersecurity – College of Science, as part of the university’s efforts to encourage participation in scientific and awareness-raising activities. The workshop is part of the College of Science’s ongoing efforts to promote a culture of safety, quality, and environmental protection, while encouraging safe and responsible practices within the university environment.
