Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Shakir Majdi, the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Industries Engineering at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a specialized training course for teaching assistants. The course was supervised and attended by the Head of the Department, Professor Dr. Alaa Dhari Jawad. It aimed to develop participants’ practical and technical skills in handling laboratory equipment and to improve performance in teaching laboratories. The course included practical explanations of the operating principles of laboratory equipment and the correct procedures for starting and shutting it down. It also introduced the measures required to maintain the equipment, ensure accurate results, and protect users. Participants received hands-on training in operating and handling the equipment, along with guidance on key laboratory safety requirements and procedures to reduce errors, maintain equipment efficiency, and support the quality of practical experiments. This course reflects the College of Engineering’s commitment to the ongoing development of its staff and to improving laboratory readiness. These efforts contribute to enhancing the quality of practical education and providing students with a safe and efficient laboratory environment.
