"Under the terms of the cooperation agreement signed with the College of Engineering at the University of Kufa, and as per the meeting minutes signed by the head of the Chemical Engineering Department, the scientific committee of the Chemical Engineering Department at the College of Engineering, University of Kufa, received today, Tuesday, the 27th of February 2024, Mr. Dean of the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies, Assoc. Prof. Azhar Mohsen Abd, and Mr. Head of the Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Department, Assoc. Prof. Alaa Dhari Jawad, along with a delegation of 9 professors led by Assoc. Prof. Ismail Muslim and other professors with various academic ranks, and a group of students from the third and fourth stages in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Kufa, to visit the laboratories and laboratory equipment in the Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Department. <br /><br />The dean assured the visiting department professors of our college's and future university's readiness to cooperate with them in jointly supervising postgraduate studies, conducting research, and obtaining patents with them. Assoc. Prof. Alaa Dhari Jawad, head of the Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Department, and Dr. Saqr Mohammed Khalef, lecturer, along with a group of assistants, accompanied the students and professors, conducting a tour of the department's administration, classrooms, laboratories, and workshops where students of the Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Department at the Future University train. They were impressed by the modern equipment and facilities available to students. <br /><br />A practical experiment was conducted for third-year students in the mass transfer laboratory titled 'Determination of Diffusion Coefficients for Liquids', and a fourth-year experiment was conducted in the industrial units laboratory on 'Filtration Experiment in Rotary Filter', presented by Engineer Zeina Qasim Alwan. <br /><br />Finally, the students were taken on a tour of the university campus, and the visiting professors were hosted at the college and university club by Mr. Dean of the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies, Assoc.
