As part of its efforts to expand scientific cooperation with Iraqi universities, Al-Mustaqbal University continues to support joint research projects that contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge and provide innovative solutions to developmental challenges, particularly in areas related to food security and sustainability. In this context, Al-Mustaqbal University has supported a research project for graduate students at Al-Qasim Green University. This project focuses on applying smart farming techniques to enhance the production efficiency of economic crops, especially leafy crops, by employing modern technologies that boost production and improve crop quality. The project is based on studying the impact of three main pillars: smart irrigation systems for water conservation, shading techniques to mitigate the effects of heat stress and solar radiation, and the use of biofertilizers as a sustainable option that contributes to enhancing plant growth and improving productivity. This collaboration reflects the two universities' commitment to utilizing scientific research to serve vital sectors and develop practical solutions that address environmental and agricultural challenges. This supports sustainable development, strengthens food security, and fosters a culture of academic cooperation among higher education institutions in Iraq.
