In its ongoing efforts to keep pace with global developments in higher education and enhance the quality of academic performance, Al-Mustaqbal University participated in the National Workshop on the Quality Implementation of the Bologna Process, hosted by Al-Noor University in Mosul. The workshop saw wide participation from leaders of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, presidents of public and private universities, and a number of international experts and specialists in the field of university education development.
Al-Mustaqbal University was represented at the workshop by Assistant Professor Dr. Amin Mohammed Kitab, Associate Dean of the College of Engineering Technology, and Dr. Riyadh Hamed, Director of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department. They participated in the working sessions and scientific discussions that addressed ways to develop mechanisms for implementing the Bologna Process in Iraqi higher education institutions.
The workshop was held in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Scientific Research Affairs, Professor Dr. Haider Abdul Dhahd, as part of the Ministry's efforts to enhance the quality of the Bologna Process implementation and benefit from international experiences and expertise in developing academic programs in line with European standards. This contributes to improving learning outcomes and strengthening the requirements for academic accreditation.
The workshop featured a series of scientific sessions that discussed the implementation of the Bologna Process in Iraqi universities, evaluation and quality assurance mechanisms, and reviewed leading international experiences in developing educational systems and academic policies, all aimed at supporting the modernization of higher education in Iraq.
