Al-Mustaqbal University has achieved a new academic and scientific milestone by making its debut in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027, one of the world’s leading and most reputable university rankings. The University has entered the list of internationally ranked universities in the 1201–1400 global band, marking a significant step that reflects its continued development in academic and research performance. This distinguished presence comes within a ranking that includes 2,297 universities from 118 countries and territories. Al-Mustaqbal University ranked first among Iraqi private universities, second among all Iraqi universities outside the Kurdistan Region, and fourth when universities in the Region are included. These results are based on the ranking indicators in which the University achieved second place nationally in the International Outlook indicator, fifth in Research Environment, and sixth in Research Quality. On this occasion, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, congratulated the University’s faculty members, staff, and students on this distinguished achievement. He expressed his appreciation and pride in the sustained efforts made by the various academic, administrative, and research units, while commending the contributions of researchers, employees, and students, whose collective efforts and strong institutional spirit have contributed to this significant international recognition.
