The Department of Life Sciences at Al-Mustaqbal University organized, on Wednesday, October 8, 2026, a drawing of lots to assign supervisors to graduation research groups for fourth-year students for the 2026–2027 academic year. The process was supervised by the Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Ali Shaalan Muaylif, and the Department Rapporteur, M.M. Jaafar Hamed Jaafar, with the participation of the department’s teaching staff. The drawing aimed to organize the process of assigning supervisors to graduation research groups, ensuring that supervision responsibilities were allocated in a fair and organized manner, in accordance with the relevant scientific specializations and approved research fields within the department. The drawing was conducted with transparency and integrity, ensuring equal opportunities in assigning supervisors to the research groups through a clear and approved mechanism. This contributes to organizing the stages of preparing and following up on graduation research projects in an academic and scientific manner. The process also included directives from the Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Ali Shaalan Muaylif, to the supervising faculty members regarding the importance of following up with students, providing the necessary academic guidance, adhering to the approved regulations and instructions for preparing graduation research projects, and enhancing the quality of research while developing students’ research skills. The organization of the drawing of lots comes as part of the Department of Life Sciences’ commitment to organizing the research activities of fourth-year students and reinforcing the principles of transparency and fairness in assigning supervision responsibilities, thereby supporting the quality of graduation research and achieving the objectives of the approved academic plan.
