Al-Mustaqbal University sponsored the activities of the 13th edition of the Babylon International Festival of Cultures and Arts today, Thursday, October 8, 2026. The festival was launched in the ancient city of Babylon under the slogan “We Are All Babylonians,” in the presence of local government officials and a distinguished group of Iraqi, Arab, and international artists and intellectuals. The festival will continue until October 16, featuring a diverse cultural and artistic program that includes the International Book Fair, an art exhibition, poetry readings, literary and cultural seminars, as well as artistic, musical, and theatrical performances, with broad participation from Iraq and abroad. The Al-Mustaqbal University pavilion, participating as part of the International Book Fair, attracted significant attention and a large number of visitors. Visitors explored the University’s publications and academic and cultural achievements, while also learning about its colleges, departments, academic disciplines, and educational programs. The University’s sponsorship of the festival reflects its commitment to supporting cultural and artistic activities, strengthening its community engagement, and recognizing the important role of culture and the arts in spreading knowledge, encouraging dialogue and communication, and promoting openness to diverse experiences and creative works. The 13th edition of the Babylon International Festival of Cultures and Arts brings together various forms of arts and literature, including poetry, narrative, music, theater, cinema, and visual arts, in addition to intellectual, literary, and artistic dialogues and folkloric activities. These events further reinforce the status of the ancient city of Babylon as a hub of cultural and civilizational diversity and a platform that brings together creative talents from Iraq and around the world.
