As part of the College of Technical Engineering at Al-Mustaqbal University's commitment to empowering students and enhancing their active role in university life, the College Deanship held an expanded meeting with students who participated in the international training program at the University of West London (UWL). The meeting discussed the foundational steps for launching the Students' Union and activating the Student Club for Development and Innovation within the college.
The meeting featured a comprehensive review of the experiences gained by students during their training program in the United Kingdom, alongside presentations of innovative ideas inspired by student practices at the University of West London. Discussions focused on adapting these practices to suit the environment of the College of Technical Engineering and the needs of its student body.
Discussions centered on several key pillars:
Organizing student activities and initiatives.
Enhancing student representation and voice.
Fostering leadership and teamwork skills.
Activating specialized and innovative academic clubs.
Encouraging community-driven scientific and social initiatives.
The College Deanship emphasized that establishing the Students' Union represents a pivotal step in transitioning students from passive recipients to active partners in developing the academic environment, ultimately building resilient, responsible leaders capable of creating a tangible impact.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the inaugural Founding Committee of the Students' Union was formed. The committee will be responsible for drafting the organizational framework, internal regulations, and strategic plan for the foundational phase, paving the way for launching a series of student-led initiatives and activities during the current semester.
This initiative aligns seamlessly with the College of Technical Engineering's identity: "A College That Makes an Impact," reflecting its core belief that true investment in education extends far beyond academic knowledge to building leaders, refining practical skills, and empowering students to shape their own futures and contribute to societal development.
From Knowledge to Skill… From Skill to Leadership… From Leadership to Impact.
