The 13th edition of the Babylon International Festival of Cultures and Arts commenced on the morning of Thursday, 8 October 2026, in the ancient city of Babylon under the slogan “We Are All Babylonians”. Al-Mustaqbal University participated as a Gold Sponsor, with the attendance of local government representatives and a distinguished group of Iraqi, Arab, and international artists and intellectuals. The festival will continue until 16 October, featuring a diverse cultural and artistic programme. Its highlights include the International Book Fair, an art exhibition, poetry readings, literary and cultural seminars, as well as artistic, musical, and theatrical performances. The event brings together a broad range of Iraqi, Arab, and international participants, further strengthening the presence of Babylon as a hub for cultural and civilisational exchange. Al-Mustaqbal University’s booth at the accompanying book fair attracted considerable interest from visitors eager to explore the university’s publications and academic and cultural achievements. This participation reflects the university’s active presence at this major cultural event, which aims to bring together diverse forms of art and literature, including poetry, prose, music, theatre, cinema, and folkloric performances.
