Al-Mustaqbal University celebrated its achievements in global rankings on Wednesday, October 15, 2026, by organizing a scientific event to review and analyze scientific and academic performance indicators, and to explore ways to develop international relations and enhance competitiveness and institutional sustainability. The event was attended by the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, along with his deputies, deans, department and division heads, and a number of faculty members and staff. The University President emphasized that these achievements are the result of strategic planning and collaborative institutional work. He commended the efforts of the scientific, academic, and administrative staff, and stressed the importance of developing scientific research and publishing rigorously, expanding international partnerships, and utilizing performance indicators to achieve continuous improvement. The event included specialized presentations by the Vice President for Student and Academic Affairs, Professor Abbas Al-Bawi; the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Professor Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi; the Director of the Scientific Affairs Department, Professor Tariq Jawad Kadhim; and the Director of the Global Rankings Unit, Ali Abbas Zwin. These presentations addressed performance indicators and achieved results, areas of strength and opportunities for development, and mechanisms for enhancing the university's presence in international rankings. The presentations highlighted key achievements, including the university's ranking first among Iraqi private universities in the UI GreenMetric Sustainability Ranking for 2026, and its first-ever appearance in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027, placing it in the 1201–1400 range globally. The presentations also highlighted the university's advanced results in research and academic rankings. The event concluded by emphasizing the importance of translating the analysis results into measurable and trackable action plans, strengthening integration among university departments, and developing international academic and research collaborations. This will support Al-Mustaqbal University's journey toward quality, excellence, and global leadership. Al-Mustaqbal University ranked first among Iraqi private universities.
