Al-Mustaqbal University organized a scientific event to showcase its achievements in international rankings and analyze scientific and academic performance indicators, attended by the University President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, the Assistant Presidents, Deans, department and division directors, and a number of faculty members and staff. The event aimed to promote academic excellence, advance scientific research, and expand international partnerships. The University President emphasized the importance of strategic planning and institutional collaboration in achieving these accomplishments. He commended the efforts of the scientific, academic, and administrative staff and stressed the need to continuously develop scientific research, promote high-quality scholarly publications, and utilize performance indicators to achieve ongoing improvement. The event featured specialized presentations delivered by the Assistant President for Student Affairs and Educational Affairs, Prof. Dr. Abbas Al-Bawi; the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Prof. Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi; the Director of the Scientific Affairs Department, Prof. Dr. Tariq Jawad Kazem; and the Director of the Global Rankings Unit, Ali Abbas Zuwain. The presentations addressed the university’s achievements, areas of strength, opportunities for development, and mechanisms for enhancing its presence in international rankings. The presentations highlighted the university’s achievement of first place among Iraqi private universities in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings for sustainability in 2026, as well as its first-ever inclusion in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027, within the 1201–1400 global band, in addition to its results in research and subject-specific rankings. The event concluded by emphasizing the importance of translating analytical findings into measurable and trackable action plans, strengthening integration among university departments, and advancing international academic and research collaboration.
