Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, and as part of the University’s commitment to strengthening practical education and keeping pace with rapid developments in modern technologies, Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a specialized scientific workshop on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, for students of the third group of the third-year Department of Cybersecurity Sciences. The workshop was delivered by Dr. Faryal Ibrahim Jabbar. The workshop was entitled “Artificial Intelligence in Cybersecurity: Intelligent Technologies for Addressing Digital Threats” and aimed to enhance students’ scientific knowledge of the growing role of artificial intelligence in developing cybersecurity systems and to introduce them to key intelligent technologies used in data analysis, anomaly detection, and digital threat prediction. The workshop addressed a range of scientific topics focusing on the use of artificial intelligence algorithms in detecting cyberattacks, analyzing digital behavior, identifying suspicious activities, and supporting security threat response. It also highlighted the importance of data in developing intelligent systems capable of addressing the evolving challenges of the digital environment. The workshop further emphasized the importance of integrating artificial intelligence with cybersecurity in light of the continuous evolution of cyberattacks and the emergence of increasingly sophisticated methods of targeting systems and networks. It highlighted the need for students to acquire advanced technical and analytical skills that enable them to develop innovative security solutions and respond effectively to future digital risks. The workshop witnessed active scientific engagement from the students through discussions, questions, and the exchange of ideas concerning practical applications of artificial intelligence in protecting digital systems. This interaction contributed to strengthening the practical dimension of the scientific content and connecting academic concepts with real-world scenarios and challenges in the field of cybersecurity. The workshop is part of the series of scientific and practical activities organized by Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications to support academic departments and develop students’ technical skills, under the direction of Prof. Dr. Mehdi Abadi Manaa, Director of Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications at Al-Mustaqbal University. These activities contribute to creating an educational environment that encourages innovation, research, and practical application.
