Head of the Department of Media at Al-Mustaqbal University to Present Research at the 12th International Forum in Lebanon
Prof. Dr. Akram Faraj Al-Rubaie, Head of the Department of Media at the College of Arts and Humanities at Al-Mustaqbal University, is preparing to participate with a scholarly research paper in the 12th International Forum of the Arab Association for Scientific Research and Communication Sciences. The forum will be held at the Faculty of Information at the Lebanese University in Beirut under the title “Artificial Intelligence and the Phenomenon of Deepfakes and Their Media and Social Implications”.
Prof. Dr. Akram Faraj Al-Rubaie will participate with a specialised research paper entitled “The Power of Algorithms in Journalism Between News Fabrication Techniques and Verification Technologies in Artificial Intelligence Applications: A Study of the Duality of Opposites”. The study examines the decisive role of algorithms in contemporary journalism and the complex challenges associated with news fabrication, while also exploring digital verification technologies and mechanisms for validating information within artificial intelligence applications.
This forthcoming international participation forms part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s strategy to strengthen its scientific and research presence at international academic events and support its faculty members’ participation in specialised conferences and forums. Such engagement contributes to the exchange of expertise and helps the university keep pace with rapid advances in the digital media landscape and intelligent information systems.
